Membership Benefits.
Networking
Several business development networking events are arranged each year that interface with MABC, providing the opportunity to network with mine operators and mine suppliers. They are well attended by senior staff of mining operations and head offices.
- Spring Fling – Dinner and Auction Function
- Bob Hallbauer Memorial Golf Tournament
- Pre-festive Mining Reception, MSABC/MABC and all involved/interested in mining
We also support a series of networking business luncheons throughout the year in communities outside of the lower mainland.
Membership Directory
Your company profile and contact information will be included in the annual printed MSABC Membership Directory, which is sent to each MABC member head office and each operating mine in B.C.
Your company profile and a link to your website will be also posted to our online directory. MSABC will also promote member company news through social media.
Weekly News Updates
Activities of B.C. registered mining firms, locally as well as off-shore, are reported. Material is gathered from their news releases, magazine publications and various news media across Canada. It is condensed and lists the date, source, firm name, headline and a line or two of “solid” information. We provide a link to their web site and telephone number for further information and follow up.
The weekly email is emailed to all MSABC members and B.C. mining companies (head office and operations). Also included are non-B.C. registered firms with activities in western Canada.
Personnel List
Each year we publish a list of all key personnel for metal mines, coal operations and industrial quarries, including their names, titles, and contact information. This is only available to members.
Project Intelligence
Project intelligence on selected major B.C. exploration projects is provided to MSABC members. This includes details on the proposed mine type, status reports, such as drilling results, and key project contact information.
Sales Leads
Throughout the year we receive requests for products or services both locally and worldwide. Often we are asked how to enter the market, in which case it is not uncommon to recommend obtaining a local distributor. These requests are passed on to our members with that particular expertise.
Industry Recognition
As a member of MSABC your company will be recognized as a key contributor to the campaign to promote a sustainable mining industry in B.C.
Professional Education Forum
In conjunction with the Christmas Reception, MSABC hosts an annual professional education form featuring expert panelists discussing topics of interest to our membership.
