MSABC Launches New Logo and Website to Promote B.C. Mining Suppliers
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Vancouver, B.C. – The Mining Suppliers Association of British Columbia (MSABC) is launching a new logo and website as part of its continued efforts to raise awareness of B.C.’s mining supply and services sector and this sector’s contribution to the provincial and national economies. The new logo, reflecting provincial colours and including the full name of the association, clarifies MSABC’s roots as a B.C. organization to audiences located outside of the province.
“Over the past decade, the B.C. mining industry has become increasingly interconnected with the larger Canadian and international mining ecosystems,” said Mike Abbey, Chair of MSABC and Area Owner Sales Manager, Canada West for Johnson Controls. “With head offices for several B.C. mining operations based outside of the province, in places such as Ontario and Australia, it’s important that our logo clearly reflects the strong mining supply and services center of excellence that exists in B.C.”
The new MSABC website includes additional features to better profile member products and services as well as association activities. New features include integrated video, a membership directory that can track metrics for visitors’ interests and new features on advocacy initiatives supported by MSABC. It also provides visitors with current information on B.C.’s mining supply and services sector, the larger B.C. mining ecosystem, and the latest prices for key commodities produced in B.C. MSABC members have access to additional intelligence on operating mines and advanced mining projects in a member’s only section of the website.
“This new website gives us the platform we need to better showcase our members and highlight the important advocacy work MSABC does to support the growth of a responsible mining industry in B.C.,” said Alec Morrison, President & CEO of MSABC. “We intend to use this platform to share more stories about our important and impressive B.C. mining supply and services sector to audiences at home and to companies abroad seeking to access mining supplies and services from leading firms operating in B.C.”
The MSABC website was built by Lalande Strategies, a trusted partner whose past work includes websites used for Vote Mining campaigns during provincial elections. Integrated 24-hour commodity price charts are provided by Kitco, a leading online source of precious metals market information.
