Terry Mulligan Memorial Award
BCIT MINING & MINERAL EXPLORATION PROGRAMS
We are proud to announce that with an initial gift from MSABC, the B.C. mining community has started an endowment with the BCIT Foundation to fund an annual award in memory of Terry Mulligan, our past President & CEO.
The Terry Mulligan Memorial Award is an annual achievement award that will be presented to the second year student in the Mineral Exploration & Mining Technology program or the Mining & Mineral Resource Engineering program who, in the opinion of the faculty, best exemplifies Terry’s spirit and passion.
Each year, the award recipient will be an engaging student who will not only have good academic standing but will also have had made a positive contribution to the broader campus life. This student will have a positive outlook on life, good sense of humour and be an example to their peers.
The Terry Mulligan Memorial Award will be distributed annually for many years to come, acknowledging the hard work these students exerted in their first year and motivating them to achieve success as they continue their education and careers in the mining sector. The initial $1,000 award will be presented in the fall of 2017.
All donations to the BCIT Foundation’s Terry Mulligan Memorial Award are tax creditable.
